School-age

Growing, learning, and thriving.

From preschool through the elementary years, well visits settle into a yearly rhythm. Each checkup looks at growth, learning, activity, and emotional well-being, and covers the forms that school and sports require.

These visits are a chance to step back once a year and make sure your child is thriving at home and at school.

Common questions from parents

When should we schedule the yearly checkup?
Late spring or summer is popular, since it lines up with school and sports forms. We are glad to help you find a time that fits your calendar.
Can you complete sports physicals?
Yes. A yearly well visit usually covers everything a sports or school physical requires, so you do not need a separate appointment.
How much screen time is okay?
It depends on your child and your family's routines. We focus on protecting sleep, activity, and family time, and we tailor the conversation to your child.
